HOCKS:
Now we are going to trim the hocks. I like to powder them before I trim them and we’re going to use the large scissors and you are just really cutting the tips, you’re not doing any major cutting here you are just trying to even the little hairs up.
TOP OF HOCKS (ADVANCED):
CORRECTING A DOG HIGH IN HOCK:
Let’s say that your hocks are a little high, you can shorten your hocks by 1/2″ by doing the following:
Brush the hair out of the way and then start at the top of the hock and then trim hair straight down at a 45 degree angle. (The hock should appear straight and slightly rounded off at the top and bottom.)
